Kirsten Moy knows this all too well. A long career in investment and community development has afforded Moy an eagle-eye view of the rare interventions that succeeded, as well as those that failed. Over time, she became fascinated by the myriad factors that separate the two — and with the complex systems in which all human actions are embedded.
