Community Based Research Canada (CBRC) is seeking to hire a part-time program coordinator (10 hours per week) to assist in the development and implementation of the organization’s program initiatives. The internship will be based at the Centre for Community Based Research at the University of Waterloo (St. Paul’s College) which serves as the secretariat for CBRC. CBRC is a national network of university members and allied partners with the mission of being a national champion and facilitator for collaborative community based research and community-campus engagement in Canada. Its goals are: to catalyze a national movement and capacity building; to advance community-university research, policy and advocacy engagement; and to provide communication and network support. Reporting to Dr. Sara Kafashan (CBRC Secretariat Coordinator), the intern will be responsible for supporting CBRC’s activities related to each of these goals building on the recommendations of a recent consultant’s report. The successful applicant will have expertise and experience in community based research, or related activity, through her/his academic or other professional training and through their work experience.
The internship is for approximately one year with a stipend of $12,500.
