About the Event
Please join us for our first Community Connections Conference hosted by the Child and Adolescent Research and Education (CARE) Lab, the Laurier Hub for Community Solutions, and the City of Brantford.
This conference will bring together Wilfrid Laurier University faculty and students, community partners/members (youth and children organizations and workers, parents, teachers, and youth), and service providers. The overarching goal is to bridge the gap between theory and practice and give researchers, service providers, and community partners the opportunity to connect with and learn about programs and services available in the community, with the goal of facilitating more effective research, service navigation, and inter-agency connections. As a collective, we will be exploring some of the key concerns children, youth, and those who work with them, face and match them with Laurier faculty and students. Together we hope to work collaboratively to foster the healthy development of children and youth.
The conference will be held on November 9, 2023, between 8:30am and 5:00pm in the basement of One Market in Brantford ON.
1 Market St, Brantford, ON N3T 6C8
This conference is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about child and youth wellbeing and connecting with others doing similar work to form collaborations.
