Maeve Lydon, the past Associate Director of Programs for the UVic Institute for Studies and Innovation in CUE and long–time CBRC staff coordinator is working as a Program Consultant to CBRC. Many national university and several civil society groups created the Pan-Canadian Coalition for Community Based Research in 2008 at CUExpo. The Coalition became CBRC in 2009. Maeve coordinates communications, manages outreach and supports national events, projects and strategic planning for CBRC. Maeve has worked as a staff and board member for local, national and global NGOs and civil society organizations for 30 years and has a particular interest in multi-sector networks and governance. When not being enthusiastic about the amazing Canadian community-campus engagement movement, Maeve likes most outdoor pursuits, travel and visiting family in Ireland. Over summer 2016 Maeve will be doing background research and consultation with CBRC members and partners to inform a long term Program Plan for CBRC.
