Research Ethics as Praxis: Being Mindful of Potential Harm and Benefits to Research Participants Register Here.

Presenter: Ryan Huckle, Chair of the Community Research Ethics Office Board

The business of conducting a research project is complex and nuanced.  With shoestring budgets and looming deadlines, designing a good project is challenging for even the most experienced researchers.  The reality is that research ethics sometimes are added in as an afterthought, where you copy a previous consent form and draw up a blank table of participant codes to assign to your volunteers. This webinar will discuss ways to help you be more mindful of the ethics of good research design.  By sharing and discussing the common pitfalls that reviewers from the community research ethics office encounter when reviewing projects, we can all learn to build ethical praxis as the cornerstone of research designs.
